This project was based around taking a existing artist’s recent album/EP/project to life. The artist chosen for this on was Janelle Monae an d bring to life her latest album, Dirty Computer, bring to life some of the themes and songs that this album represents in addressing gender and a robotic future.

 

Process: The process into designing this project was to capture Janelle Monae’s expressive appearance and views alongside her interest in a sci-fi and using that concept in expressing her Blackness and sexuality in her own work.
